SUPPORT SERC'S RESEARCH, EDUCATION AND OUTREACH

The environmental challenges facing our planet deserve our attention.  We must be fully informed with scientific knowledge to make decisions for future generations.

That is what we do at SERC. We conduct the research to provide scientific information and analysis, and we share it through outreach and education so that all of us can make more informed decisions about our future. We take this responsibility seriously.

SERC is a non-profit organization. As such we earn two-thirds of our annual funding from competitive research grants, fee-based education programs and philanthropic contributions. The Smithsonian Institution provides the remaining one-third of our budget through federal appropriation. Your financial support will enable us to expand research, outreach and education programs.
